Caravan Hire - Great Dorset Steam Fair

Tilshead Caravans can deliver any of our caravan hire fleet to the 2024 Great Dorset Steam Fair, held at Tarrant Hinton on the Wiltshire/Dorset border. The Great Dorset Steam Fair is huge, with over 600 acres of events, displays and exhibitors, from steam engines to rural crafts, and dancing displays to stunt shows, so you will need more time there than you think!
We would usually expect to deliver and fully site and set-up your hire caravan, ready for your arrival. Popular optional items also include awning hire with awning erection & dismantling service or picnic table & chairs hire, so you can soak up the atmosphere!
Costs
Caravan hire costs are based on a hire of seven days (although some clients get there earlier to avoid the traffic).
For example: Delivery of a caravan on Monday or Tuesday, ready for your arrival. Collection again on Monday or Tuesday morning (the event is scheduled to end Monday afternoon).
Please note the event pricing below INCLUDES delivery, siting & set-up and collection of the caravan at the end of the hire.

You will need to book and pay Great Dorset Steam Fair separately (please see event website) for any campsite fees and entry tickets. Entry to the event is not provided with our caravan hire services.
*We regret we cannot offer awning hire without us putting the awning up as the site not only does the site get very busy (so if we leave a space for the awning when we site the caravan, there is no guarantee that it will still be available when you arrive and want to erect the awning) but also it is often very sloping land, which can make erecting the awning more difficult than on a flat ground pitch.
** The number of chairs supplied will match the number of berths available in the caravan. For instance, a four berth caravan will have four chairs supplied with the table. Additional chairs can be hired at a cost of £5.00/chair, subject to availability.

3. Provisionally reserve your caravan for 48 hours to give you time to contact the campsite to check availability and book a campsite pitch.
4. Confirm your caravan hire booking with our usual £250.00 deposit to ensure you do not miss out!
